APRIL 12, 2025 ———– 8AM – 8PM
- There are no pre orders or holds for any of the titles. Everything is First Come, First Serve.
- Having filled out the form does not guarantee anything! It is meant to serve as a guide for us when placing our order so we can order what folks want. We will not hold or save anything for anyone based off the list.
- All of the items will be displayed in the back of the store (stage area), organized alphabetically. Certain items will be separate to help not bottleneck the store and encourage a sort of flow.
- People do line up! We have seen folks line up as early as 10 PM the night before (that’s when we leave!) or sometime in the early morning. It is all personal preference. Many folks base their time on the exclusivity of titles; that number can be found on RSD website under each specific title.
- There is no system for tickets, numbering or anything alike while folks stand in line. That is between all of our customers and only them. Line is first come, first serve. We do not get involved; the team will be getting their beauty sleep!
- The store will get crowded, so we may pause entry until some folks finish up. However, we do not do this in incremented times (30 min/ 40 min), it is more organically decided. Folks move quickly though so don’t worry! Our goal is to have equal opportunity to get what they want while keeping saftey in mind.
- We do not know many of “XXX” title we are receiving. In a nutshell, we see what everyone is interested in, we place an “order” (more of a request) to receive however many we feel is sufficient. The titles are then allocated to stores all across the US. This means, if a title is limited to 1,000 copies, the companies have to spread those across the whole country. We could end up with 1, 5, or 0; we do not know until everything arrives.
- Each customer is limited to buying one of each title. Sorry, but you can’t buy two of the same title even if one is for a friend who couldn’t come. We want to prevent flippers and give the best equal opportunity to all customers
- We do not release prices or quantities. This is to prevent flippers and re-sellers. RSD is about the vinyl and music community and we want to help keep it that way.
- Online sales will start Sunday April 13, 8AM. All remaining stock will be available for purchase online and in-store.
- We will post snips of the stock that we have received on our Instagram. So make sure you follow us! @hifihits
- In years past, we have done a Happy Hour the night before RSD. That is still our plan this year! We encourage you to come out, grab a drink (21+) and check out all the stock. It will be sectioned off and we will be fine tuning the display of it. But this is a great opportunity to see in person where everything will be the next day.
- We have off street parking! The line forms in the parking lot as well.
