Rob's music has been heard on some TV shows: 'Felicity' (WB), 'The Black Donnellys' (NBC), 'Everwood' (CW-ABC Family), 'Jack and Bobby' (WB), 'Friday Night Lights' (NBC), and 'Dude I Just Want My Pants Back' (MTV). In the 1990s Falgiano and the band Plaster Sandals were staples of the Buffalo music radio and club scene. The catchy ska-style single 'That's Life,' which Falgiano wrote in college, remained in regular rotation on alternative music station 101.1 The Planet for nearly two years, helping the band sell thousands of CDs and amassing a large audience. Following their split in 1997 Falgiano formed The Contortionists, which lasted until 2002. Several years of solo acoustic performances followed, averaging 70-90 gigs a year from 2002-2008. The current Rob Falgiano Band (featuring Jonathan Hughes, Mike Criscione & Ray Hangen) has been together since summer 2008, and was assembled of necessity to open for Jakob Dylan at Buffalo's Thursday at the Square free outdoor music series. The group's instant chemistry led to Falgiano writing more towards a band format for the new record.
